Collection of ACCESSORY PACKETS from different US Rations

I have an new Accessory Pack in my collection , it is an Accessory Packet E packed by Cadillac Products out of an early MRE (I guess 1981 or 1982). It is in my opinion a particular one, because of the candy with round shape (see the impression at the top of the pack). I know that round candies as content of MCI B-Units (third picture), but I have never seen it before in an MRE Accessory Packet . Any experiences (norge?)?

Candy which was content of an 1979 MCI B-Unit, I guess that could be the one in the Accessory Packet. I will not open the A-Pack, because it is a collectible for me !

back in 1982 i had mres with the round candy bar in the accessory packets.
in those days the c rations was also in use still,so it migth be a conection there
left overs from c rations packed in mres? or the candy changes later in the time line
in the mre progress.

Ken, thank you for the information ! From the early MREs (1981-1984) I remember the VANILLA FUDGE, CHOCOLATE FUDGE or MILK CARAMELS as A-Pack candies. But I guess you are right, here they put in some "storage candies" from late MCIs .

Hi Hagen & Ken,

I remember finding these in early Accessory Packs along with the fudge and vanilla cookies that came in white wrappers with brownish-red printing, and the caramels in the cellophane wrapper. I also recall little square packs of tootsie rolls and I think once or twice there were Charms candies? I know I still have the Charms packed away somewhere...

...and the empty cookie wrappers as well

Here is an Accessory Packet from a 1980's Long Range Patrol ration I recently dug out. It was packed by Cadillac Products Inc., Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Contents listed include:

Coconut Candy Bar (disk)

Cream
Sugar
Interdental Stimulator

The 'stimulator' is missing as the seals along the border of the Accessory Packet deteriorated. It could be sitting among the other rations which is why it doesn't appear in the pic showing the contents. Sorry.
