Haha, it sounds worse then it is. This is happening all over Europe by the way, not only in Germany. It's just a law to make homes more energy efficient by controlling what people can use.

For example, no more conventional lightbulbs etc.. It's not such a big deal, and I don't even think it's such an bad idea. It also stimulates the technologic sector to make new products.
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

You know Bypah, I've been reading a lot of what you say in the off topic section, and it seems that you're unhappy with the way things are run here in the US. I know everyone is entitled to their own way of thinking, but if these countries do it so much better than we do, than why don't you move to one of them instead of trying to change the US from the inside?

Your "better" could be my worse - depends where you start from.
You never can answer that, just for yourself.

If telling the truth about things that happen here in the US is being "unhappy" as you say...well so be it.
For some talking about the truth hurts and I know nobody wants to hear it because is like adding salt to the wound....
By the way that's the beauty of the U.S.Constitution which gives you the freedom of speech to say whatever you feel like.

"better" = less waste, less spending, less work. More time for me, to spend with my family or outdoor.

I had a talk with my mother about my reasons to hitchike. I told her is much cheaper than using "regular" transportation, so, I can work less and enjoy my life better. I love to spend my time alone, in the forest, not confined in an office.

Yes well, how about you answer the question instead of dodging it? I mean if your reason is the first amendment then that's rather silly considering many other countries have similar rights that allow you to speak freely on most matters without being hauled off to the gulag. But I have a feeling your reason is much different.
