Happy Holidays to you Adrian
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Merry Christmas everyone, and housil that dog in your photo looks absolutely adorable! I love saying Merry Christmas, eventhough here in Massachusetts and many other states people are so afraid of offending others that they say happy holidays instead.
Rationtin440,

Yeah I agree with Adrian, everybody there is to politically correct, even here in my state and being so close to Seattle. Hell, two years ago at our state capitiol the politicians even managed to offend the atheists! So now we just say " Happy Holidays" as well. :?

Sorry guys, I think the way I worded my post may have caused a mis-understanding---what I meant was that I refuse to say "happy holidays" and instead I say "merry Christmas" to others. I mean this political correctness crap is ridiculous, my sister is a school teacher and she had to answer to a complaint against her by the parents of one of her 3rd graders because she talked about the history of christmas!

Happy Holidays isn't that bad.. I usually say it aswell.. not of political correctness, but of the simple fact that you can say "Happy Holidays" instead of "I wish you a very nice christmas and a happy new year"..

At my work I have to say it to about 10.000.000.000 people each day the last weeks, so then it's easier..

Absolutely right. Been there.

RT I think I can guess what belief system the complainant parent belonged to.

Cracker, you're absolutely right. the concept of the phrase "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" is because it includes Christmas and The New Year celebrations.
The problem is that it has been hijacked by the extreme religious far right and other ultra right wing groups as "anti christian" and "un patriotic" specially after 9/11 and the xenophobia that has exploded afterwards.

Is the truth.I know that by writng this there will be someone ticked off at me...
But they also have to remember the beauty of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution...
PEACE!
