eBay Sightings!

MREINFO Link on someone's eBay listing
Case of HDRs on eBay has link to MREInfo.com
Well, this website is useful for sellers of rations.
Check out this listing of a case of HDRs:

Funny you should mention this auction, CaptBob. I received an email from that guy yesterday saying that he was sorry that he linked to the site without asking me and he'd be happy to remove the link if I was offended.
I wrote back and here's what I had to say:
Now I have to take my chances on ebay and hope that auction doesn't get too high.
[Update: Acutally, after I sent the guy that email, he offered to sell me a case of HDRs are a real good price. That was pretty nice of him. And thank goodness he did that because that auction eventually closed at double the highest number I would have paid!]

The only thing I'm mad about is that he didn't give me the chance to buy that case of HDRs off him at a good price.I don't mind at all when people link up to the site in their ebay auctions. I say this for a few reasons:
1. it's free advertising for the site and drives traffic there.
2. I prefer ebay MRE buyers be educated buyers. There are always auctions up on ebay where people are trying to pass off 10 year old MREs as "new" or non-military MREs as "the real thing". When people stop by my website, they can learn what to look for (and look out for) on ebay. So when someone links to the website in an auction, that's even better because it shows the seller usually isn't trying to hide anything.
3. Over the years, I've collected a fair number of pictures of MREs and rations from ebay auctions and a lot of those I use on the web site. So it's only fair in my opinion if someone wants to link to my site in an auction w/o asking.

Here are a couple of interesting ones. No bid on the first one. Gee, I wonder why??

This Russian one could be interesting; but, it's a bit expensive too.

This one has a good story with it. Again, it is expensive and postage from the U.K is going to be a deal killer.

Those are just the more interesting ones I found...so far.
