British and French Rations For Sale

Post by Roundeyesamurai » Thu Jan 12, 2006 4:02 pm

Hi all;

This is my first post here, so I'll briefly intro here. Former US Navy (1989-1995), and despite the fact that I've eaten plenty of MREs, I happen to still like them! :P

On to business- here is a site I found some time ago, which is offering British and French rations for sale:

http://www.armyrations.co.uk/

I haven't ordered from them, but I think I may (I liked the Brit rat packs I've had in the past). If anyone has ordered from them, I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.

BTW- Hi Kman, I told you I'd eventually register here! LOL

Hi Alex - welcome to the forums! Glad to see you got registered.

I haven't ordered from that place but I sure would be interested in hearing how much they charge for shipping from the UK to the US. I'm guessing it's going to be a lot.

Thanks for the welcome, K!

I imagine the shipping cost would be enormous- then again, I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised :)

Oh yeah, I'd guess enormous. I recently shipped a single British ration from North Carolina to Colorado and the cost was about $9. So I can only guess how much more it would be for overseas shipping.

Quotes that I have gotten from folks in the U.K. for shipping a 24 hour ration to Colorado were in the neighborhood of $25. That is for one 24 hour ration. I can get them at very reasonable prices but the shipping costs usually kill the deal.

Sounds like we need to open a store or an internet store to sell mre's and oher rations. Some where in the US though, we need to save money for buying other rations. Not paying for shipping costs that cost more than the item itself.
