Today for Lunch: TURKEY BREAST PATTY WITH POTATOES IN GRAVY

Hi guys,

today I had a TURKEY BREAST PATTY WITH POTATOES IN GRAVY for lunch, packed by THE WORNICK COMPANY with date code 3135 (2003), of course with "special" flatware .

I think it looks appetizing and all in all it was ok, but it tastes a little flavourless, the turkey is pressed meat , I think there are better entrees, but see yourself to the following photos:

Looks great. I would prever it than any hot/spicy entree. Just add a dash of salt.

I ate the meat loaf and gravy for lunch today. 2005 dated and wornick brand.
Had oatmeal cookies also from 2005.


Cookies were still crisp and good.


Meat loaf was a bit strange tasting. Not bad, just a weird
meat texture. The gravy was ok though.

Meal made me thirsty. Had 50% of daily salt in the meat.
I drank a liter of water after eating this meal.

It did hold me over til dinnertime though.


Next week I will have another 2005 meal.

I've got about ten of these left. Gave a few away as "budget Thanksgiving dinners" to a few friends. The turkey patty is very dense and chewy (at least mine was). For variety, I took the turkey patty and put it between some cheese and bread and made a grilled turkey melt sandwich.
