What happened to the MRE prices?

Hello all.

It's been a while, other hobbies and stupid things like working keep me occupied.

I haven't even checked the new menus (well, new to me), I'll do that later.

So, what happened to the MRE prices? I checked ebay.de and they seem way more expensive than last time I bought.

Are they in short supply?

I was thinking of getting a case (after I remind myself of the menus) but they seem so expensive now it takes the fun out of it

I have 01/2012 date mre's for $50 case plus shipping.

That's a great price, the problem part is the shipping.

I pretty much assume that any MRE cases I get would be from Germany.

I don't know where they get them, but there seems to be a steady supply on ebay.de.

It was...

But most US installations were shut down and the troops either send back to the States or to "far east".

but the question arises, where do people get those mre boxes then, i mean if theyre not sold to normal civvies then, when how and so on o.O under the counter? O.o

and i now mean ofcourse those mres which say government property and so on

They could by them regular and legal at the PX over here.
We also swep them at field exercises (FTX) or they sold them at the local flea markets etc...
