Wife Dismantling MRE Stash
My wife found my two cases of MREs of 1987 vintage and is kicking them [and maybe me] to the curb.

I kicked my wife to the curb back in 1999. Although she and the State of Florida took my azz to the cleaners with child support!turbomark7 wrote:My wife found my two cases of MREs of 1987 vintage and is kicking them [and maybe me] to the curb.

My Best advice is to throw the wifey up on ebay and see what happens

I remember a guy that put his ex wife,s wedding dress up on ebay
and even modeled it.
Not only did he get a sizable hunk of change he got on the news.
Good Luck with the wifey

I was a two-time loser. I finally got it right on this last go-around.
She's gone through the entire kitchen and found these ancient MREs. We'd both be scared to eat them. As you may recall a couple of months back, I posted to describe the aftermath of eating a brand-new beef ravioli MRE for lunch right after Hurricane Rita - I became dangerously flatulent and bloated.

If I ate a 1987 pork pattie MRE today, I know my remains will show up on Rotten.com!
If somebody wants these cases before Thursday's garbage pickup.....

Those old MREs are gone.
We live in one of the few places in coastal Louisiana that was spared from Katrina and Rita so having emergency rations and food supply is paramount.
I shall test MRE entrees for digestive function. But, it's hard to beat common canned foodstuffs for taste, nutrition, variety, and price.

Darn...that'll teach me to go away on Christmas vacation! I could have had a couple of cases of 1987 MREs to tear open and document for the website! I guess I didn't learn my lesson from that 1983 Pork Patty MRE but it still would have been interesting to see what MRE parts might have survived for 19 years.
