Yep..

There's no use in feeding the enemy.. and it's dangerous when they can get your clothing and gear.. (think off possible suicide bombings in your own uniform.........)

I'd burn everything aswell..
If I'd want to feed the local community, I'd give them HDRs or bags of rice.
Not MREs (most menus have non-halal meat anyways..) with monster energy..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Cracker,

You make a good point with the MREs not being Halal anyway, why give to people who don't eat that stuff? Maybe they can give these "poorer" people in the Afghanistan MREs to eat and tell them all of them have pork in them. haha :D

I remember reading that alot of Wolf 7.62x39mm and Czech surplus which we have TONs UP here in Canada went into the hands of rebels in Afghanistan. I bet you that no Taliban would fly to America and buy some Wolf ammo. I know only the American is buying everything up to supply their allies in the Middle East. and some of that stuff is leaking to the wrong hands.

One thing that would explain the willingness of these folks to sell US materiel to other countries including China, besides the money factor, may be the old saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." While islam and communism would seem to be incompatible for obvious reasons, if there is a chance that this materiel will someday be used against americans, then those in the Kabul market who hate the US will likely overlook that other issue. Sorry to be long winded here, just an observation.

@ Someuser..

Wolf (Tula) is one of the main suppliers of the ANA. Most of them being corrupt, so yes, they get to insurgents aswell.
But so do M16s and MREs.. You can't stop it, you might prevent as much as possible.. but they'll just keep on leaking.

I doubt the story of the czech surplus though..

And the information doesn't say that items are sold to item, but they are shipped to china.. to make cheap copies of them.
The chinese don't need those items to fake them.. all the details are on the internet anyways.

They even fake blackhawks

And then i've not even mentioned the small arms and hummer copies..

Thanks for kudos Bypah! Yes, China is getting very clever lately, almost as if they expect to be fighting us in the not-too-distant future.

they even won't have to fight us: in 20 or 30 years none of us will be able to make a tyre for a truck, a cartridge nor a pair of boots anymore (not talking about a plane or a tank)

Excellent point Stef, I'm also thinking that China won't have to fight us militarily (is that an actual word? ) they'll just make everything cheaper and in greater quantity----oh wait! they're doing that now!
