Re: pangea world bakers
Thanks Scotty, Actually the type Im looking for is more of the square cornered, "hardtack" type, although Ive heard a few years ago somewhere this type was discontinued... These do look like maybe theyll crumble, but Ill get a 10 pack and try 'em out... Update coming soon.

6redline3,
Hey if you are interested I may have some of the Pangea WSB's lying around. They get stockpiled at my place every couple of months and none of the soldiers/airmen ever eats the WSB. How? 'Cause I keep finding them in the trash cans. So I can check around if you would like some to eat or for an experiment.

I have had both types of WSB -from Sterling & Pangea -there is definitely a taste difference as well as a texture difference-personally I prefer the Pangea!
Never noticed the shape difference though.

Re: pangea world bakers
This thread got me to break into some older breads and I found three different types overall. The thin, square cornered ones - the butt-topped ones that are supposed to be shaped like a piece of bread (which I had never personally eaten until yesterday) and the ones I was used to for the better part of the last 10 years - square but thicker and with rounded corners. The thin one with sharp corners was hands down the best overall I gotta say! Never realized there was so much variety in WSBs!calixtesaint wrote:I have had both types of WSB -from Sterling & Pangea -there is definitely a taste difference as well as a texture difference-personally I prefer the Pangea!
