English muffins are more like a close cousin to the crumpet, they're similar in appearance but crumpets are made on a stove top on a flat cooking surface like a frying pan or commercial flat top rather than baked.

I always think of them as UK versions of US hot cakes.
I have them as a hot bread side with lots of things, or as an alternative to toast with my scrambled eggs and bacon. Trouble is you can easily eat 7 in one hit

Thomas English Muffins along with Bigelow Green Tea is a favorite of mine since my stomach can't take coffee anymore.
