MRE Salmon?
I think Natick should try again, with a Salmon entree. Maybe a Salmon cake type thing. With enough preservatives, it should last 7-10 years. They can do it with tuna, and now that Samoa is off-line for next year or so, because of the Tsunami, Washington State should get off their duff, and get going with the salmon.

Re: MRE Salmon?
BumbleBee sells cooked salmon fillets in pouches.

The one I had was a little dry, but hey, what can you expect from shelf stable food. Not sure how long it lasts, but I bet it's a while.

DD,
Here in WA state, we could get a salmon run agoing but right now salmon runs are in a slump due to overfishing on the Slamon and Snake rivers. Not to mention the big fuss over dam breaching on those rivers. Your talking about a huge political issue and believe me you DON"T WANT THE ENVIRONMENTALISTS involved in salmon harvesting lest you get into a legal battle. I would definitely like a salmon retort entree much like the tuna MRE but with some suitable condiments and side dishes. The yellow rice and pilaf side dishes would be a nice compliment.
