British 24 hr rations in London

Post by hannonmc » Fri Oct 09, 2009 8:07 am

My sister-in-law will be in London in Nov. I was wondering if there are any brick-and-mortar stores in London that sell the British 24 hr ration pack.

I figure that I have a decent shot of getting a couple back to the states for much much cheaper rates than having one shipped. Also, potentially less chance of customs taking them. I'm only talking about a couple of rations.

You could give Silvermans.co.uk a go mate, not sure they are really in the rations game but they seem to have most stuff and are in London so you never know, send them an email...

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like they have a NATO 24HR RATION PACK. Not quite sure how that compares. But may be worthwhile.

Be careful. It could be something like a Pack N Go commercial ratpack, but because they won a contract with some other NATO countries (Eire?) they call it NATO rats when all they really mean is it is NATO approved, i.e. someone responsible for STANAG stuff decided it was edible and not too likely to poison anyone :?

If you're still looking for ORP (British 24hr/GP ratpacks) you might try someone like sofmilitary.co.uk or just do a google search in the UK for them, then try and get them posted to your place in London and just pick them up?
