New Sure-Pak MRE case packaging

Post by Jpak »

Looks like SOPAKCO is changing the exterior design of their civilian Sure-Pak MRE cases. Snazzy, huh? Looks like the clear Sure-Pak MRE pouches will stay the same though...

This may signal a change in marketing strategies. As long as the majority of Sure-Paks are sold over the internet there is not that much reason for fancy packaging.

These new boxes look more like the sort of thing that would be produced for brick and mortar retail, where the product needs a little bling-bling factor to move it out the door.

Yep, the typical "scare 'm " marketing trick.
Add fancy pictures from disasters on a pack, and let people know that you really need that product to survive.
It has to stand out from other packings (from the competition..)

It's simply marketing.. nice box though, but one thing I learned from working in a supermarket as a kid:

new package = new price..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
