only old grenades, oh!

BTW, I've searched on egun.de for smoke grenades but all I can find is paintball/airsoft smoke pots. I've tried "smoke grenade", "Rauchgranate" "Nebel granate"... :|

Rauchkörper mit Kipphebel ;)

http://egun.de/market/item.php?id=2358016

3 for €55 (with the ignition system included)
The orange ones are supposed to work the best, the other colours are not as good (except white, but they don't sell it here)

There are some other sites that sell them, but I can't find other sites with the ignition parts (the kipphebel.. don't know how to say it in english, but actually the whole "head" with the "lift" on it)

They are called "Rauchkörper" and are made by "Piepenbrock" (German Pyrotechnik company)
They work the same as "real" smoke grenades.. pull the pin, let the "lift" jump off (the Dutch ones don't shoot of but stay attached) and throw the grenade.. Then it has a 2,5sec delay, fires and starts smoking..
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

Kipphebel!
thanks Cracker, that's something I could never find alone

So the fuze and its safety lever work normaly, it's not like all those paintball fake grenades...
I guess it can be rather hard to get them imported into France, anyway my car's dead, I have to buy a new one (yes, me too!) ...

It's simply a aluminium body, filled with smoke mixture..
There is a primer with a tread on top, and you screw the fuze on it.

The fuze is a military fuze, but is actually only a mouse trap that hits the primer on the body itself..
But all the functions are like the "real" smoke grenades. The only difference is that these things don't spark before they start burning (less fire hazard) and are tested and allowed as fireworks in germany.

But they are completely forbidden in some countries (like the Netherlands) because they look like real handgrenades..
So first check with your local laws.

There is "no international shipping" on the add, but that guy offered to ship if you state that it's allowed in your country.
I pack one as a emergency beacon (orange) because they are relatively light, but they are rather large. (But I don't trust friction fuzes with redphospor because I have a bad history with them, they are shock sensitive)

I don't know where you are in France.. but it's in Brotdorf.. in Rheinland-Pfalz (just over the French border underneeth Luxembourg)

But first check with your own laws..
