Post by madcapmagician » Sun Jul 12, 2009 5:50 pm

I just wanted to let everybody know about a deal that just came up where I work at! I work for DOLLAR TREE STORES in the lower 48 of the the good old USA! And we just got a good supply of all 4 kinds of RONZONI BISTRO MEALS in a pouch!
The price is a real winner at 2 For $1.00. So check out your local dollar tree while they still have them!

I have a dollatr tree store near my house and I just want to know if this is for ALL Dollar Tree stores? I say that because some are a bit different than others. For example: some carry cereals and some don't carry any food products. Is there any way to check to see if my local one has these meals?

was gonna post about this last week.

saw these in the dolla store around the corner, so i bought 2, the spaghetti with meatballs and the linguine with chicken and mushrooms.

tried the linguine first - it was cheesey, thick with nice chunks of chicken and some mushroom. BUT heavy wine taste, which was off putting for me, tho i know some of you booze hounds will love it.

the spaghetti was more palatable with nice little meatball chunks. at the price, not a bad stock up. i had 1 each for lunch over different days. i could easily had 2, as each is about 1/2 the size of a regular MRE entre.

they come in a laminated plastic pouch with a sep 09 expiration. i suspect they may be good until 2010.

they're perfect for boil in bag or nuking in a bowl.

for those interested, Big Lots has a supply of those of Ready Meals - for about 1.50 ea.

The price may vary depending upon the Dollar Tree store; I think they're franchises rather than being company stores. Our local Dollar Tree stores are selling them for $1 ea.

I have worked for dollar tree for 15 years and the prices should be the same at any dollar tree! And all of the stores are company owned! Their are no franchised stores in the company! If your dollar tree is selling these for $1.00 talk to a manager and ask them what the deal is! They should be 2 for $1.00 in every store! If anyone wants any of these and can't get them just let me know and I can get you some! We still have them in the store! I bought 2 cases of each kind myself!

My dollar tree has them. I'd rate them similar to MRE entrees in taste/texture, but they cost the full dollar here rather that 2 for 1$.
