Kman, when did mre packing included the extra clear bag inside the main pouch. I have been eating 1999 - 2000ish mres and now have 2005's. Noticed they decided to double bag them???
I dont have any pics. I can get some. On my last backpacking trip while eating the newer mres, I noticed that once you peel or open the main tan pouch, you have to open another thin clear packing. Just wondering when that was introduced.
Seeing as I've recently eaten a bunch of 2004 MREs and they didn't have that inner lining, I'm guessing they introduced it in 2005. Maybe it was something added to make MREs a little more waterproof in hurricane-relief areas?
Thanks Dave, but its a gov't camera and I might get in a wee bit of trouble over it. I borrowed an old disk style camera and took the pics for Kman. Also, when did they put in the hot beverage bags...I sent a pics of it also.
