Yea, I think having other items with it would make it better, rather than just on its ow like I did. This, hashbrowns, WSB and PB & J. Hmm, might hafta try that order for next Sunday MRE breakfast.

Nice review - thanks for the pics! Kind of looks like spam to me - but that's not a bad thing!

Hey guys,

I just had my food review on this. Mine came out a bit differently than Mr. Eman's

Pork Sausage Patty with Maple Flavoring
This breakfast entrée had me wondering what it was going to look like and Mr. Eman kind of got the best of my curiosity though I couldn’t wait to taste this new side meal. The patty got me wondering if all those veggie burger patties got re-incarnated as this. Even after heating it up in some boiling water, I noticed a faint whiff of maple flavor. The patty was kind of soft and spongy and had the texture to that of a veggie patty but still had good taste to it. I also did notice some grease, oil, liquid fat or whatever at the bottom of the pouch and thought “wow, that’s nice”. I had no idea that most of the goop got cooked off and came up as liquid. I also wondered what this patty looks like when you open it up cold; probably a wonderful surprise. After all that I would still eat this for breakfast: just not cold.

I actually enjoyed the Maple Sauage Patty. I purchased it from Epi center with several other items.

I tried one of these, and it really lacked a "sausage" flavor. The main taste is the sweet maple syrup flavor, which I thought was too much. Not enough sausage flavor. Not bad, just not quite what I was expecting.

I'd really like to see a breakfast sausage item that tastes like actual breakfast sausage.
