To eat or not to eat.....

Post by OT » Wed Nov 16, 2005 9:08 am

Returning from Hurrinace Katrina response, our guys filling out their expense reports, have a seperate page for stating if you did or DID not eat mres while deployed. It changes the per diem. Thought it was funny.\
And of course I nar touched a one!

Aloha! Kyle! Dont know the answer to your question. Everyone said no mres were consumed. hehe. There is a form to sign stating you did not eat them. Everyones mission and payrate is different while deployed on emerg ops.

Cheers

The first couple of weeks on the coast it was easy to get MREs, but as the month dragged on I heard stories from our guys that the distribution areas wanted more info if you were getting them....who, where, why etc. My last trip down to Waveland Mississippi the "Sonic" (Fast food) place just opened up. You would have thought they were giving away money. Long line to get a burger.
