Looking to buy a French RCIR

Post by hannonmc » Tue Mar 24, 2009 12:16 pm

I'm looking to buy a RCIR and was wondering if anyone has a good source for these? Obviously shipping will be the biggest concern as I am in PA and I would assume that the availability of these are overseas only.

I saw a couple on the French Ebay, but was unable to understand the full posting and don't want to get taken advantage of that way.

Any help would be appreciated such as which menus I should typically steer away from, how old of a ration I should expect, etc...

Thanks,

Mike

I just purchased several from this seller on ebay. tililine974. They were, in my opinion, reasonably priced. Also the shipping was not too crazy. Good luck.

Wow - 12 RCIRs for EUR 33.50 right now (plus EUR 50.00) for shipping to the US or Canada. Not too bad...and only 16 hours left to go!

Anyone else here going to be fighting me for these? :-) I'm thinking if it stays below EUR 100, it'd be a heck of a deal.

I had excellent luck with tililine974 from the Paris area of France. Picked up 12 French Army rations with good dating for about $300 USD, that included shipping. The cost of getting them from there to here (Michigan) was the big bite, but I ordered the menus on a Tuesday and had them in my hands on Saturday. Colissimo had it here in 4 days, in perfect shape. She does pretty well with English, as I have no French language skills. Found her on French eBay, searched under ration de combat.

I just found another auction for a case of 10 RCIRs (partial case) for EUR 10 right now:

I don't know if they ship outside of France.
