Shipping from Germany

Post by kman »

Following up on the "Shipping MREs" and "Shipping IMPs" threads, I wanted to post this other recent shipping/receiving experience.

Housil and I did a trade - I sent him a bunch of Ameriqual APacks and he sent me a great selection of various rations. I sent him his package via USPS. It got to his local post office pretty quickly (6-10 days?) but unfortunately their local Post Office sent the box back to Frankfurt to have the food "inspected"...and that was two weeks ago. The latest I heard is that he still doesn't have it. :-(

But the package he sent to me didn't have any problems. He sent it via DHL and to my surprise, my local US Postal Service carrier delivered it to my doorstop. Sweet! Check out the package below - it looks like it wasn't opened or inspected at all. And thank goodness...it would have been a shame for them to open up the French or Italian rations.

They sent it back at Feb. 24th and my parcel is still held as hostage at Frankfurt Airport customs and food inspections.
