My question, are they real military ones? Do you have a picture, maybe. Are the mre's actually missing the resale lavel.stagg wrote:I buy MRE from them all the time, since I drive by their brick-and-mortar store.
I'll admit that I've wondered about the missing "resale" warnings, but they contain the same food stuffs.
I've personally A, B boxes. all of which seemed to look and taste correct for the newer 2003+ MREs.
My cases came with a snack bread and spread (the usual cheese variants) and some sort of candy.
"Imperials" (red hots) M&Ms, starbursts... and a couple others that I am forgetting right now.
...That said, does somebody really make "contractor MREs" that are labeled differently?
Either way, Armynet usually has good prices, and if those are not pure exact MREs, they are at least close enough to eat

Re: armygear.net mre's
I bought two cases from ArmyGeat.net last year.
I just went and grabbed one of the MRE's at random.
It's Menu #14 Vegetable Manicotti
The package has the Soldier in the corner, not the contractor.
The bottom says:
" U.S. Government Property Commercial Resale is Unlawful"
and below that:
"Flameless ration heaters are prohibbited on commercial airlines unless sealed in original MRE menu bag"
Looks like the real stuff to me...

Re: armygear.net mre's
Thanks, thats what I was wondering. I should get mine on Tuesday, and I ordered it last week. What year are yours
Re: armygear.net mre's
I don't recall exactly what year they were. I haven't opened one in awhile and don't have any of the interior packaging to check. I ordered them about a year ago and I think I figured out from the codes on this site that they were maybee one or two years old when I ordered them. Can't recall exactly, sorry.
Re: armygear.net mre's
Got mine today.
New bag design by wornick and ameriquil. I'm really glad as they are the freshest I can get being there 08

Re: armygear.net mre's
Cool...so they look like these:

If so, then that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Re: armygear.net mre's
There the last two that say MRE in bold.
Re: armygear.net mre's
i have ordered a total of 5 cases from armygear.net and every one of them has the newer logos and the "commercial resale is unlawful" warning. They have everything in them, and they are the cheapest I have found yet.

FYI It looks like Army Gear has the most current menu now. Just received my new shipment yesterday. All 24 menus are stamped 9147!
