An even better idea that I like is to use one of those Nalgene bottles to hold your kit - that way you get a good, sturdy container that can also be used to store water.

I'll try to find it and post a pic of it. As I remember, there wasn't much to it, and could have used other items as well to be more practical. I have seen at Cabela's the kits in the water bottles. They too are like 20 bux a pop, but a good idea nonetheless.
