Long shelf life bread?
Hey Guys,
I'm looking for suggestions for long shelf life bread, or bread products. I really dislike the wheat snack bread and would like to stock away some alternatives. So far I'm having a hard time finding anything that’s not well, pretty expensive.
I did however find this: http://www7.mailordercentral.com/longli ... ?dept=1033 (squad packed hamburger buns)
Anyone know any other products I should take a look at? Also anyone know of any other sites selling squad pack hamburger buns?
Thanks guys,
-Brian

They are available in 170g and 500g and have a "unlimited" shelf life. I have them from 1989, 1991, 1998... and they are still edible.
Re: Long shelf life bread?
I really like the EPa bread but if you're looking for something that looks & tastes like sandwich bread or buns, this won't do it for you. But if you do like this kind of bread, you might want to look for this:housil wrote:With every German EPa comes a canned bread

I picked that up at a local Whole Foods Market but you can also find this bread online at places like mredepot.com:

...like sandwich...

Re: Long shelf life bread?
Dunno, that epa bread is pretty nasty too, and the bread in a can requires lots of butter and sugar imho. I cook it in a pan, it makes it edible; I really want to like it, but that molasses flavor is overwhelming.
Re: Long shelf life bread?
In a cod nicht ...a big canteen cup of HOT coffee or cocoa...(antifreeze...lol) and a piece of any kind of bread to wash it down....PRICELESS!!!!
