Hi Norge,

Nice pics.
I 've a quetsion w.r.t. the black 'lid' on the canteens. Are those the CBRN (NBC) ones?

In the Dutch Army the green lids are standard. The black lid (with adapter) goes with your gasmask so you can drink from the canteen.

Regards Nawt.

hello nawt :D

yes the black lids are nbc drinking adaptors for the gass
mask.

black lids came in the late 1970s and was replaced with green ones
from about mid 1990s.
they are just the same only different contractor.

cheers from norge

The ECWCS or M65?

M65 are still very popular over here and I have a woodland and a OD also, but I prefer a ECWCS w/ Polartec Liner (3 color desert) for me and a woodland w/ bearsuit for Mrs. Housil.

Norge,

Great pics! Indeed, where did all that snow go too? The ensemble reminds me of my time when I was in during the '90's. We had the M65 field jacket up till 1998. ECWCS wre still pretty rare before then.

hello my friends :D

the ECWCS was used here in norway since it came in the
military system.
the us marines and us army always had the newest gear
in use here to test and norway can be extreme cold!!!
we have had temperatures down to 52- celsius so
norway is good to test arctic gear.
