FOOD PACKET, SURVIVAL

Post by laughing_man » Thu Nov 06, 2008 8:24 am

I got U.S. survival ration.
They are SOPAKCO packings and have a date of 3323.
The contents are the same candy and gum as MRE, and a string.
What is this string's use?

I am not opening the 2nd pack.
However, I found this page.
The opinion of Zizka seems to be a correct answer. :idea:

According to Combatindex.com;

The packet contains hard candy, candy-coated chewing gum, and twine. An instruction sheet is included explaining the use of the twine for storing the components after the packet is opened.

Definitely a high-tech solution.

but you can't roll your friends into little green balls!

Yes, use the string to save those oh so wonderful Charms and gum...Genius, I really hope I never have to subsist off of that.
