here is a 1992-3 chicken stew i had for dinner today,not
so old but still tasty
it was a mix off 1992 and 1993 food items,it was good
only the mars bar was a bit strange look but had a nice taste.
didnt try the coffee or sugar items,my gues is that theyre still good.
The white "stains" on "old" chocolate is actually just the fat that comes out.
Chocolate contains to much sugar to spoil and with proper storage, still edible after 20 years.
The "Chicken Stew" looks still good, but the "Peaches" do not look very appetizing. I agree with you that the fruits become darker how older they are. I remember my MCI Applesauce, its color was black
Oooh, Chicken Stew and Chicken a la King are/were my all time favorites! I really loved those entrees. Too bad the're gone and replaced by entrees that taste too spice (the Mexican types of entrees).

"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."
Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War;
shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered
to not wear their khaki leggings.
Norge, I'm 1 month old into the MRE stuff, but in the pics - is that FRH a tan/yellow looking color?
I just bought some first generation FRH's from Mrestar and the powder agent seems to of come out of the small heater package and made a mess when I tried it today. I will get a picture of these, and I think they are dated US 1992. This was the only number I found different or added from the current FRH heaters. So let me know if the heater package that you used was intact. What I mean is was the powder inside of the heater carboard package, you know the one with little holes on it, or is this the way the 1ST. generation heater looked like.
thanks.
