Thanks I really appreciate it and I WILL ALWAYS carry my weapon from now on. You are absolutely correct, it could have been a very different situation right now and I'm just thankful that nobody was hurt.Az556 wrote:Carry you damn gun, this could have turned out very bad for you. I'm glad it didn't. If more Americans stood up to this kind of naked aggression we would have alot less assholes running around.Yeah they are lucky that my dad and I were not carrying our registered weapons that day.
Stay safe bro
Thanks again

Nice, bright illuminated, Mil-Dot scope BigMark!BigMark wrote:Hmm, I would probably have done similar, but here in Texas I wouldn't have to fear any reprisal. That said, your Dad should make sure and carry his piece for the next few weeks just in case. Preferrably I'd have liked to see them in the middle of this.

And yeah I think if more people stopped taking stupid shit from dumbass idiots, our society would become exponentially better.
By the way...whats that scope on top of????

Damn, i wish i *could* do the same here in the Netherlands. More often than not, any civilian who tries to help the police gets reprimanded afterwards, if not convicted! The police is really keen on keeping watchful citizens unarmed and unhelpful, i wish it would be otherwise but most people here would say they wouldn't interfere in some fight, burglary, robbery or whatever for fear of being prosecuted afterwards by the f***ing criminal or the f***ing government.
The dutch people have no way of defending themselves. All weapons and the authority to use force is owned by the gov.

I think you did alright, as everyone walked away safely. Best thing is to not pursue them, and remain a good witness in a safe area. Given your location and gang activity, you may need to watch for a reprisal, in which case you should document EVERY encounter with these punks.
Lastly, if you have your CCW, then CARRY YOUR DAMN PISTOL!
It's no good to you when its several hundred (or 10) feet away and SHTF.

AR15, I posted pics of it here somewhere, but I couldn't find it earlier.Mkim340518 wrote:Hey Big Mark, let me guess what kind of rifle that scope is sitting on...is it a AR-15 or M-4 I think I see the charging handle and the dirt cover door in the picture but I'm just guessing...am I in the ball park?
Mike,
Glad to hear that you got through that just fine, we certainly don't need you or your dad to become another crime statistic . I think you did the right thing and at least got two of the a**holes off the street and had the police on your side. That took a lot of courage and balls on your part.
In regards to your location, if your right in the middle of gangland or thereabouts then you need to be more vigilant and have the cops do more prescence patrols through the area where your store is. This will help out to a certain degree, that and keep the police informed on any suspicious activity.
I am in agreement with Mr. Eman in that if you have a CCW then wear the gun. Doesn't do any good if you got it at home or in the car, but only use it as a last resort. I too live in a big city where gas is expensive but human life is cheap. Pretty bad if you ask me.
If there is any repercussions at least keep us informed on the forum maybe we can all help out.

Thanks for the advice and the support. I really do appreciate it.
And now, I always have my sidearm with me at all times. And the court date for the punks are on this Thursday so, I'll let you guys know what happens then.
Thanks again
