New Civilian LRRP Rations

Post by DangerousDave » Sun Jun 22, 2008 1:21 pm

I happened to notice this at local Food Dog. There was 2 other menus. I forget what. Chicken something, beef hash or something. The packet shown cost 3.59 US. Have'nt tryed it yet. Not a bad price for a bucket worth of soup.

Don't the Wyler soup mixes require the addition of meat as well?

Yeah, and they're dehydrated, not freeze dried. So they'll take a while to rehydrate.

Speaking of tricks, my eyes keep playing tricks on me. I can't seem to read "Food Dog" with out transposing the words and then breaking out into laughter

Sorry, I guess I left that out of my other posting. Yes, they are making sugar free stuff now in the stix and the cup containers. The stuff that I think Dirtbag and I were referring to was the mix that came in a bag (like Kool-Aid) that contained sugar and corn syrup, a favorite of backpackers and campers in days of old.

I saw that stuff at the store today DD, I thought it was a pretty good deal, but it was even cheaper than that, I think $2.59 but on sale for sure.
