92 Corned Beef Hash review

Post by MR.EMAN »

Back in December last year spotted a couple brown bag MREs at the local surplus shop. Seen em there many times but these looked like they were just outta the case. Bags nice and clean still with creases in the sides. Picked up a CBH and Spaghetti.

I ate the CBH on New Years and here are a few pics from that day. I did not get around to the acc pack or do the juice or FD fruit. I just went with the entree crackers and oatmeal block.

Everything looked in good order.

Crackers still firm, a bit more metallic, slightly stale taste. Otherwise pretty good.

The oatmeal block was also pretty good, although not as firm in consistency. Seemed less "crunchy" if you will.

Now for the main event. The entree itself would fool anyone who did not know that these haven't been made in 15 years. Still retained its texture and taste quite well. Meat still had a 'meaty' texture and the potats did as well. Good stuff!

Great pics! It's been a few years since I've had one of those entrees - I had forgotten what they look like.

Great photos, thanks for sharing! I really like the "old" MREs!
