I LOVE Sci-Fi movies and LOVE movies where the world has or is close to being at the end and seeing the things people do just to make it to the next day.
ie, The Mad Max Trilogy (espcially the Road Warrior!), Water World, The Postman, Red Dawn etc...
What are everyone's MUST SEE movie of the end of days? I will try to see it ASAP =)

Apocalypse movies
I have 3 top choices for this. The best nuclear apocalypse film would have to be "THREADS". It's a british film from the late 70's or early 80's. It's set in Sheffield,England and is a pretty good example of what would probably would happen.
The best zombie type apocalypse would have to be "DAWN OF THE DEAD." It has all of the element's. Zombies,zombies and more zombies.
My third choice would have to be another british apocalyptic film. It's from the 70's I think. It's called "NOT A SINGLE BLADE OF GRASS." It's set in England when a virus sart's killing off all plant life on the planet. It's a man and his families journey to get to brother's walled off farm that's safe from the virus.
Well that's my pics. I probably have other's I will think of later

Well its a TV series not a movie but, it's one of the best things I have ever seen: Jericho. CBS canceled due to "insufficient viewer ratings"... but we all know what that means...

Oh yeah 'Threads' scared the crap out of me when I saw that...now compare that to 'The Day After' which was a load of crap. Nobody does gritty realism like the Brits!
Mad Max, Mad Max 2 were great, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome was.. less so.

I realize it is pre-apocalyptic rather than post-apocalyptic, but Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is definitely one of my favorites.

Does 'Shaun of the Dead' count? 
The 1981 BBC mini-series of 'Day of the Triffids' is excellent. (Not to be confused with the '60s movie, which is awful.)
'Threads' is super-scary, one of the bleakest films I've seen.
And I quite liked a little low-budget flick some of you may have heard of, called 'I Am Legend'.
