Fried turkey in brine

Post by housil » Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:52 pm

As Mrs. Housil was on duty until 7pm, I had to prepare dinner for me + kid´s. :D

I went down at my holy basement and choose a 2001 fried turkey in brine can Bundeswehr, (fat free) butter sauce Army and civilian basmati rice.

Nothing I would have again...

You know the taste and smell of that microwave-fat-free-pop-corn?! Worse...

Mrs. Housil has to use lot´s of Thai Sauce with her dinner
I had to promise to use MRE´s/T-18 only for the future - not to poison them with Butter Buds again... :x

So in your household when Mrs. Housil is away and it's up to you to fix dinner, the kids must either be really exicted about what you'll fix or very scared. :-)

I know Mrs. Kman gets a worried look on her face whenever I say "Don't worry...I'll fix dinner." This sometimes means dinner will be coming in its own individual meal pouch. :-)

Yep :)
The only "ration" kids like come in a brown paper bag having a yellow "M" on it... :(

I prefer to scare them with the date of production to make sure, they don´t even think about touching them...

Too much Butter Buds

Post by davek » Mon Mar 31, 2008 6:55 am

Too much Butter Buds. That pouch was like 454g of butter. That might've been good with only a little bit of butter buds.

Yep.
I used it as a sauce as mentioned on the package  not as just a "flavor increasor" ...

Next time I/we will have a T-18 again for sure :D
