grrrr....ebay seller

Post by kman » Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:58 am

Feeling crotchety this morning so it's time to vent on an eBay seller...

So there's an eBay seller with a couple of 2004 Spanish rations for sale:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0215058394

I see the auction go up yesterday and I email him right away asking him to put a buy-it-now on there. He comes back right away and says "Sure, I'm open to offers." So I send him my offer.

The *12* f'ing hours later, he comes back and says "Sorry, someone already placed a bid, can't add buy-it-now." Well no shit, sherlock. You take that long to respond and there are gonna be bids.

So there goes my chance at some Spanish rations locally. I offered what I thought was a decent but not insanely high price and now I'm sure they're going to go for something uncontrollably outrageous...like $100 each from a Japanese rations collector. :-)

Oh well...good for the selller, sucks for me.

Even worse than $41, those two Spanish rations I had my eye on eventually went for $50. Sorry...that's just way out of my price league.

Sorry kman

Sorry kman, but I was the first bidder for the auction of those 2 spanish ration's. I bid $20 for each one of them. It was a dutch auction. But, I didn't win them. Some blankety blankety blank so and so came along and bid $50 apiece for them. I was highly disappointed

The problem I have now with ebay is the way they have made all of the auction's anonymous now. You don't know anymore if your bidding against one of your friend's or not
