Looking for MRE's to Canada

Post by MasterOfPuppets » Thu Mar 06, 2008 1:13 am

Due to my complete mistrust of eBay and Canadian customs, I would like to know if any of you great folks here at MRE Info:

1. Know how much of a hassle it is to get MRE's North through the border (and evidently, how much of a hole will be burnt into one's wallet due to taxes/customs fees/shipping etc.)

2. Is open to selling some MRE's. (Not to be picky, but preferably 2005 and later or Menu C)

Thanks guys.

P.S. I checked out the Menu C's at MRE depot, the checkout price for one casewas around 115$ with shipping. Adding on to that the endless mounds of customs fees and great Canadian taxes... is it worth it?

Are you obsessed with getting MREs or would IMPs work for you? I know there are a couple of really decent places to get IMPs in Canadia online.

Got any links for those places, BigMark? I'm in desperate need of updating my IMP collection.

Hmm.... actually I am kinda obsessed with MRE's  I've had IMP's before but I've never had an MRE, and MRE's seem so much more practical for some reason...(the paper bag doesn't help). Those links would be great though!

Bah. I hate when you can't search a forum for 3 letters or less. How the hell am I supposed to find the IMP info.. I'll ask around and see if anyone is better with the search function than I am. I get why it is, but it's annoying as hell.

Mark, you can sometimes get around that limitation by using Google and restricting it to a particular site. For instance, Google for "imp site:http://www.mreinfo.com/forums/" and it appears to find what you're looking for:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=im ... gle+Search

Not a problem for MREInfo - I just tried a three letter search in both the forums and main site and those work fine here. But I agree with BigMark...I hate it when other sites do that.
