As we had a 12 hrs shift at work today (sunday!!)

I took some rations with me as almost all shops are closed in Germany sundays.

We had to respond just to some heart attacks, strokes, pulmonary edema so we could eat/try several rations.

For lunch we had some Dutch:

the bags are the same as the british ones.

Just hot spiced, but thats all. Add a grain of salt to make it delicious

My prefered lunch. A certain "sweet" taste. Not hot nor salty - very delicious. The meat balls were OK, not to hard.

For dinner we had some German EPa entrees:

Italien noodles w/ ground meat

Everybodies food "darling" in the German Army (Bundeswehr)

We also had some:

Two beef patties w/ tomato sauce and potatos slices

Well spiced but not hot - just OK.

I hope you don´t believe we eat the whole day rations at work.

No-no

Yeah, the other countries rations always look so much better than MREs, but I guess if I had to outfit 100k soldiers instead of 1000k I could offer a little bit more to them. I love my EPAs, I just wish the food was more ethnic or something, all this food looks like what we could/would get here. I'm surprised there is no chili MRE. (chilimac though.. mmmmm. :) )

Actually, "Chili w/ Beans" is the new MRE menu # 1 since the 2006 changes.

It's OK, but really nothing to write home about.

Hi Housil,

great pictures. Looks like you had a nice 12 hr shift.
Judging by the rations you took along, my guess would be that you could work a 24 hrs shift  yummie yum.

cheers Nawt.

Hey, you First Responders in Germany get blue light racks??? Like on the Audi. Thats not fair. Blue lights are for Politzei ONLY, in the USA. I actually ate the hamburger patties in tomato sauce. Excellent. :)

Fair enough. No Texas chili. ;) What are beans in chili for?
