Maybe because you start EVERY posting with "...fuck..."?!

I wouldn´t either. Easter Europa hasn´t a good reputation all over west Europa  Still to much crime and corruption. Communism
heritage...
If you see a car with Eastern Europa licens plate over here, lock everything! Guard your car (especially BMW, Mercedes, Audi) armed!
If you see an Eastern Europa car around your place after sunset, call police for a "suspicious notice"

So don´t wonder if nobody wants do deal with Eastern Europa

We have enough of companies, stores etc. selling military rations. See:

You will get EPas, MREs etc in every Army-, NATO-store, at Ebay also. So no need for another shop here.

But be the first in Eastern Europa - you know how to "deal" with your folks, paperwork, little "presents" at the customs

i didnt calculated it particularly. one single 20 foot iso container isnt very cheap to ship i can imagine. 3000-4000 euro i guess...
but in the end: whether its 10000 or 50000 euro - i dont have that much money. and its too risky. i also thought of aircargo for smaller amount of boxes but the heater... :?

kman wrote:German_EPA, here's a question for you: If you could import any of the different types of civilian MREs, what price would you have to buy the MREs at in order to make them worth selling?

For example, with what you said above (50,000 Euros for 700 cases of MREs), that would be around 71 Euro per case. And then you'd still need to mark that up to make a profit.

Have you figure out how much you would need to pay per case - 20 per case? 30? 40? - in order to be able to sell them for 50 Euros per case and yet still cover shipping, import duties, taxes, and profit? If you can come up with that number, you might have some place to start negotiations with the various civilian MRE vendors.

Have you ever thought of repacking your own line of MREs? You could order them w/o heaters via air, have the heaters shipped ground and since they aren't very heavy it might not be terribly expensive, then just repack them all in a bag with your company logo on it and explain what they are. The "C" cases sold out apparently pretty quickly, and they're technically not the real deal.

[quote="German_EPA"]i
another proposal:
i will import that amount of boxes you all need but only against a fix order and CWO (cash with order).

shipping from here (germany) is then EXW (i love incoterms  )

your opinions please...

Ok, I need the price for a case and additional fees (custom, transport, etc) for case or parcel (if I want 4 cases, the fee will be the same as for a single case?).

And witch sort of MRE?

He wrote EXW = "ex works"

So it´s all your "problem" - means you have to pick them up at a (German) place where the seller put them.
All transportation, customs etc. is the buyers job

then there`s the customs aspect it`s ok sneaking a few cases in here and there.

i am looking at the bigger picture try 3 pallets at 1300 lbs per pallet 50 boxes per pallet
i have the supplier for mre menu c i have the pick up delivery to my door sorted,

i have worked out what to a good degree what it will cost to get them to my door
nobody is gonna get rich doing this , yep money to be made , but not mega bucks
but basically double the intial outlay price of mres

now customs, food standard agency in the uk is a nightmare
because
1 it`s food
2 meat/fish
3 organic non organic
4 is it processed
5 what percentage meat stuffs
it goes on and on aaaaaaggggghhhhhhhh

so until my 1 case of them turns up
so i can pull em apart list every single ingrediant go to my local tax/food agency place
then i may get my import licence, codes etc
then it`s all systems go.

i am hoping customs pull the case i have on the way so they can do all the hard work and let me know whats what.

maybe i should just label the 3 pallets as shoes or something :D

but from england moving them round europe is no problem as i am abroad on buisness (in a big van) a lot mainly netherlands/germany/poland

watch this space (slowly though)

I wouldn't ever advocate labelling MREs falsely for the purposes of getting them through Customs. For one or two cases, people have been known to label them "camping supplies" and that's technically true...even though "military prepackaged food" would also be true but would also be more likely to get you and your packages stripped-searched. :-)

But for large shipments like you're talking about...and especially if you plan on reselling them, you're far better off being as up-front about it all as you can. It makes the process more painful, sure, but it also covers your bases legally.

totally agree

it`s a long methodical boring job but if i get it right first time sorted for more after that.

and no body to my knowlwdge has done it before

cos all the mre`s that turn up normally do have the warning not to be sold on etc etc so are basically hooky,

would be good to be able to sort them all legal and above board
i will sort it out
just gonna be slow going and probably quite expensive if they start testing them etc
and anyway i`d only waste what money i have on bikes and beer :D
