Heater doesnt work

Post by jubifahrer » Sun Jan 13, 2008 1:15 pm

Today i wanted to heat up my 1995 pork with rice in barbecue sauce with an 1995 FRH.

i made everything like i did many times before.
but it didnt work. 20 minutes, nothing happened :(

after this time i decided to warm my entree up in the micro wave.

because i wanted to throw the heater into the trash can i poured out the water. i leaved it in the kitchen sink and now its getting hotter and hotter :?:

did i somethin wrong ?

bye

p.s. the 1995 entree was very delicious :D

It sounds like the heater was working *very* slowly. Normally, I would think 20 minutes would be enough but maybe it needed even more time. Or maybe when you first put the water in the FRH, it didn't soak into the heating element and it was only when you poured the water out that it hit the elment.

in a 1995 FRH you should use 1995 water

i had that experiences with 1991 heaters. it took 10 minutes to get "hand-warm"

the older the frh get the longer it take i can imagine. the 2007 produced heater worked within seconds really hot.

Just goes to prove that you do in fact need to "carry everything, including the kitchen sink" in your rucksack..... :o

You put too much water on it. After you heat the entree, just for fun, fill the FRH bag up with water, and see what happens. Thats why they aren't allowed on aircraft.
