As for what's banned in the states, full-auto machine guns are banned unless you have a special Class III firearms license. But most other types of semi-auto assault rifles are allowed (depending on each individual state's laws).

Here's more information than you probably want on the topic:

Amen Kman, this is the weapon i am talking about. Its fairly light and with a drum mag its awesome. The recoil is next to nothing. On a prone position with sandbags, it is easy to hit the target 400m away with default iron sights.

Wow...two bravo, you guys can actually purchase these weapons over there? Btw how much you people pay for a single 5.56mm round? If i am not wrong it costs US$0.40/round here someone told me.

MRE meal bags are always good for storing the empty cartridges, and sometimes i even modify the mealbags for use as empty cartridges holder attached to my rifle/MG.

Here's a place I buy my ammo:

http://www.natchezss.com/

It looks like they have the cheapo Wolf ammo for US$0.12 per round:

or this stuff that looks a bit nicer for US$0.20 per round:

Hi Dave and All,I like the idea of this thread, but I dont know how to post a pic!Im Kyle a farmer/rancher in NM,45 years on the planet,ex Army medic, divorced, father of 3boys&3girls.I know this is not a gun thread but it seems we also have that in common,I honestly dont know how many weapons I own,I have a compleat pistol, rifle, shotgun range out my backdoor next to the driving(golf)range. My oldest son took national high pont in rifle, shotgun, and muzzleloader two years ago in 4H shootingsports. All my children are avid sportsmen&girls ,on the ranch we hunt deer both whitetail&mule, pronghorn, cyote, rabbit, duck, geese, turkey, dove, quail and yes rattlesnake and we eat it all! My children love MREs and we consume many cases a year,I bought 18 cases at one gunshow a few months back(42.00 a case) and there half gone. The nearest town is 14mi away, two large lakes 30mi away(fishing, skiing, boating, burning fossel fuel). The Rockies are 100mi away where we hunt cats, bear, elk, snowski, snowmobile, and burn fossel fuel. While enjoying all these sports we eat MREs(my children are all honor role) so dont worry about brain damage from too many MREs.Ive just got back from a fishing trip in Mexico and was so glad to have some MREs to stablize my system while gorging myself on the local cuisine.Ill try to figure out how to send some pics.Until then,Ya'll have a great day,its nice to meet you!

Kyle, great idea about acquiring MREs at gun shows. We have a few every year down here in FL. I would love to acquire a few cases at $42 a cs. I will make it a point to check out the next gun show here. If you want to send a pic to me or kman we can post it up here for you. Just email it to one of us, that goes for anyone else as well.

Come on guys! You cannot all be in the witness protection program. Let's get some pics of your mugs up and some info on you. We are a special family here and one that I enjoy chatting with. kman? Where are your pics brother? I know you got out of witness protection last week, so let's get those pics up.

Anyone needing to have their pics hosted just send them to me and I can do it for you, just ask kyle.

Look forward to seeing all of your charming little faces...

I will have to get Kman to post my pics.....

I work for the US Army Corps Of Eng. 39 yrs old.

I backpack, hike, scuba dive, and mountain climb. I have a two year old son and a wife that I adore. Life is good.

My toys are: HK, AK, AR, Fal, Armlite, M1A etc....

This site is great. I have eaten freeze dried and MRE's on my outdoor trips for years. I just did not know the history of them. We owe Kman a lot for keeping us informed....

well back to work.

Cheers.
