Any European musicians/ guitar enthusiasts?

Post by Conrad » Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:06 pm

I'm wondering if any EU guys on here are into guitars/ basses or know people who are?
Specially from eastern Europe and former USSR controlled countries...
Reason being is I'd like to track down a particular bass guitar namely a Jolana "Diamant Bas" . A cool Czech made short scale 4 string bass with a body shaped like a led paul guitar.
I briefly heard one and got to play it for a few minutes and loved it. I have wanted one since but they weren't sold in Ireland and they're over 30 years old if I'm correct so chances are that one I saw here was a one off. It was a Hungarian guy who had it.

If playing the guitar for a few months when I was 8 counts - I'm your guy :)

Yeah that's the model I mean. Thanks man. I've actually seen that particular one for sale I thibk. I'll check properly later but I think the neck is warped on that one which is not ideal . I'd like to try find one with a very good body and neck, I wouldn't mind having to replace/ repair some hardware on it as I can do that myself

The normal guitar one is more common but while I'm a mediocre bass player at best, I am not a guitar player at all. I can mess around with a regular guitar but that's all so the bass is where its at.

Thanks. I will get one eventually, I've set my mind on it. At least it's not too extravagant, only an old bass and not some 200 year old violin or something !
