Antarctic Heritage Trust conservators found a 100 year old fruit cake among the artefacts from Cape Adare.

Nice! You beat me to it, I saw that in the news and instantly thought of MREinfo! I suppose that'll make the fruitcake in the 1980s MREs have a real run for its money. Would anyone here try their hand at some 100 year fruitcake? I certainly would.

What an amazing find. I wonder what it would sell for - IF whoever found it would even sell it?

Sentient, maybe we could share a slice if we ever get so lucky. :lol: 8)

I'd be up for that. Here's my plan. First, I'll offer my entire emergency fund and savings account for a slice of the fruitcake. With any luck, they will accept and I will send a slice to you so you can film it for YouTube and I'll review the other half here on MREinfo. Surely that ought to work! :P
