Just came back from the (annual) Military Camp in Hammelburg, a German Army training area with the urban warfare training village "Bonnland". You may know "Hammelburg" from Hogan´s Heros or the "Task Force Baum" raid.
Here we go...
Mermite as "fridge" as we got up to 94F
Kept it cool for two days
2007 #5 MRE
For dinner after arriving
As on it´s first day
Our two crew tents
US table, German EPa for dinner
French ration and a Heater meal for dinner
cooked on a fuel cooker with (UK? Canadian?) mess kit
Cooking EPa entree on French ESBIT stove

Finde us...
We had up to 34°C (94F), so why do need peoples this:
a stove?!
Camp site starts to get crowded
Speaking of "crowded", time for lunch - a Korean freezedried ration
this is how you spell "very spicy" over here:
That´s why I had just some (2007 - 10 years old!) Tuna MRE:
Even with that age - great to eat!
Some cake?
A T-18 devils fudge cake

Latecomers, had to stay outside...
Speaking of "late", lets have another dinner...
I "cooked" a T-18 "Spaghetti w/ meatballs" for everybody
This is how to feed a pack
Rest from all that eating in the evening and cool down

Breakfast at the kitchen trailer
before gathering at the drivers briefing by an Bundeswehr official about the day at the active training site
The convoy into the training area
Dispatch riders
Inside the urban warfare training village of "Bonnland"
A real village with real streets, real houses etc. just nobody is living there
Houses half cut open so you can watch from outside how you fight inside a house room to room

Back from that "excursion", somebody needed "first aid"...
to fix his fuel pump.
Speak of "fuel", here is what we had for dinner that day
Beef chunks w/ noodles T-18
Lucky us, that guy showed up for dessert...
this is how we lived there for 6 days
If you can get your hands on one of these:
Best "cake" ever!
It was not all about eating, also fixing lamps
Watching the neighbors
Having some entertainment on a real 1940 gramophone as they had at "Saving Private Ryan"
Bonefires
....and before someone ask´s, I lost 3 lbs
