Anyone here in the Hurricane Mathew's cross hairs?

It looks pretty bad according to the news. Some family members of mine are currently in the Gulf Coast where there's a red tide.

According to the news it's a category 4 that's one less than Katrina from ten years ago but it still looks like it will pack a punch. If any of you guys are in Florida, I wish you the best of luck. Other East Coast states look like they're going to get some bad weather too. Hopefully none of you guys living in these areas won't have to put your rations to good use.
It looks like the entire east coast and central areas are going to get hit hard.

Stay safe!

I'm just listening to the radio and the relations from Dominicana and Cuba - it is something you cannot imagine until you are there...
Stay safe !

I'm in Horry County, SC. Looks like we will be spared the brunt of the storm. Though some zones closest to the beach have begun evacuations. For those unfamiliar with Horry County. Myrtle Beach is well known vacation destination. That is located here.

Power may go out, along with heavy rains and some heavy winds. If the power goes out for an extended period of time. I'll try to make some reviews. Will also try to share pics of any effects to the area.

Yeah, the islands caught the absolute worst of the storm. It was a category 5-4 when it hit Haiti, Honduras, and other nearby areas. First Cat 5 to hit Haiti in 50 years. Even areas in Florida are getting the worst hurricane hit in decades.

Rabidwolf, where in Horry county are you located? I lived in Little River and NMB for 7 years. I left in 2010.

I live in what is called the UCLA area. Upper Conway Lower Aynor, a couple of miles from where Hwy 22 begins and ends on Hwy 501.

I know the area well. You should be good other than the rain. I don't miss watching the hurricanes coming in.

Yeah, rain is about the only thing, and maybe some strong gusts.

It's a category 4 for those who are wondering, Katrina for years back was a five. Hopefully it dies down upon landfall. Haiti and other areas in the Bahamas got wrecked hard. :(
