Apple dessert

Post by Icon » Sat Aug 20, 2016 5:45 pm

At my local discount store,, they had a pallet of 92 oz apple dessert. Is this just like apple filling, or does it have a crust? I didn't see anything bread related in ingredients, so I presume it's just spiced apples.
These were like 3 dollars each, I think a date code of 2012, in a box of 4.
It says to heat in water, ,, so even if I take the mylar(?) cover off, I am thinking it's still not a microwavable container?

These are simply a plain jane sugary apple pie type filling. IMO these are not very tasty.... I would pass unless you are just curious - even then just buy one and try it.

You are also correct, you can heat these by boiling them in water. To microwave you need to actually remove the food and put it in a microwave safe dish.

Thanks.. I may buy one to try, and make a couple pies out of,, or add to ice cream or something... for the price, I can always trash it if need be..
