Source for information on US Army clothing?

Post by fdsman » Thu Dec 24, 2015 7:59 am

Aside from what various retailers will tell you, which prompts you to purchase their product; Is there a resource online for things like, the differences between M-1951 and M-1965 pattern clothing, as well as all the variations of things like field pants?

These guys are the best when it comes to U.S. Issue uniforms and equipment. The have experts on everything from dress uniform buttons to M 1951 Field pants, Pile caps, to BDU collar cuts from 1982. Sleeping bags, blankets what sort of camouflage was printed on the 1963 poncho liners. Mess kits, pots and pans

You they have a great knowledge base and a million photos. But this is majority U.S. clothing except stuff made in country for U.S. issue like Hats and jackets made in South Korea, or South Vietnam. Sometimes stuff made on post in Guam or West Germany 1950's People find stuff their dad brought back from Overseas and post photos of stuff found in foot lockers or at yard sales.
