Your All Purpose Storm Kit (Circa 1960's)

I decided to put this neat bit in the off topic section - although there is technically "ration" type items like Sugar, Tea, and Bouillon - it also has a tube tent, matches, candle, etc in it so I'm throwing this unusual oddity in the Off Topic - I think this makes my first off topic review.
Here is a vintage 60's era survival kit for cars, backpacks, etc. I buy em' on Ebay when people aren't trying to charge $50 (yes and sometimes they sell for that much) and I pay about $20 each. I have 3 including this one and decided to share it with you guys. It is a very irrelevant review but it is pretty fun to see inside a collectable that only had one other stock photo and that one was B&W!
The only thing left to photograph are close-ups of the instructional booklet - that in my opinion is the neatest part of it all followed up by that tube tent. I went back and noticed pictures had glare and the main stock photo is slightly blurry. I am very sorry about that - what a waste. Hopefully it still gives a decent enough presentation.
Quick note: bouillon is 3 squares in old stock photo and 2 sachets in mine. So different years here - perhaps one in B&W photo is older.
The candle is still in my kit - I'll let ya know how it goes when I need it.. but it IS just a candle.
Twist ties are always useful. In this kit you get one big red one that you can cut down or whatever ya wanna do with it. I'd say get some cordage, run it through the tube tent and tie each side around a stout sapling or low branch, then tie it with this twist-tie cut in half for each end.
The whistle is only fair - it is compact, though! Not as loud as my other emergency whistle (sorry no idea what it's called all I know is it's orange and LOUD).
Now, the tube tent has already saved my gear from getting soaked here in FL on a camping trip last week - I actually tore it down the center and opened up like a long blanket and wrapped my pack and loose gear & rations with it while I slept in my 2 man tent with a buddy Jamin (also a fellow Ration enthusiast (because of me hah the poor man has no choice)).
the bouillon was obviously compromised by moisture long ago.
Sugar and tea were fine - again sorry no photos I made that tea in the dark on a primitive camping trip back in February - tea was stale but I didn't care.
Ok here are some photos and I will comment on the rest as I upload - I gotta jog my own memory on what else was in this quaint little kit.
BTW - thankyou as always folks for taking your time not only to look at my posts - but being active in a collaboration of information that has turned into a literal encyclopedia and history of itself by this point. Gotta love MREinfo.
Also - DirtyDave - if you ever read this, you asked me 10 years ago where I lived in Florida and I for some reason never responded - PM me and I will give you my # and Address - If you get in touch I would be more than thrilled.
By the way guys I'd totally forgotten, but I made an account on this site 10 years ago when I was just a younger lad, I am on the 1st page of the regular MRE section under simply: Steve hah! Too bad the account is inactive, I seriously wonder what stuff I'd talked about then. I think the Ration hobby is going to stay with me. Thankyou again to all of you who inspired this.
