Last weekend I went to a local museum where they had a living history play - right on the day - of the liberation of that village.
They had running German and American WW2 vehicles like a German tank hunter tank "Hetzer" and an American 155 howitzer firing blanks

Right. That "Tiger" actually was a T-34 and T-54. It was made for the movie "Stalingrad":

70 Years without a third world war! Here's hoping there never is a third.
