Just to let you know I'm ok so far... no power, no water,no cellular communication except messages.
My hometown of Moore got hit pretty hard. Two elementary schools were hit , a hospital amongst the damage. It looks like a warzone.
But our spirit is high and we will persevere!
Here is a link of a local tv station...they have a live streaming of the event!

Olli,
The devastation is incredible. Is worse when two elementary schools were flattened out by the tornado.
Of the fatalities several have been kids.

Thank you bro....
The worst part was when this monster hit I was at my school so we had to take shelter.Thank God we where ok.
At the same time looking at the radar when it hit and I was thinking of my wife at home alone. But during the situation I got only one message that kept me going....
" Dog and I on the tub. OK"
She was fine too so was my house.
Now we are dealing with the aftermath...no power,no water.
I'm always prepared but still caught me with my pants down!

At least I have a roof over my head and plenty of food, MRE & rations included.
Right now I'm @ work.....bad storm over us with plenty of rain and lightning. Round#3....

Glad to hear that you're ok Bypah! We occasionally get so-called tornadoes here in Massachusetts, but they are nothing because western MA where I live is so hilly. Although many folks who live in close proximity to the Quabbin Reservoir say that storms are always worse in their area because of the energy from the water. I lived in Oklahoma in 1990-91, in OKC and Elk City and I don't recall tornadoes but those communities sure were prepared. It was the first time I ever saw a "tornado shelter hallway" the place was Crossroads Mall I believe.

Elk City that's I-40 westbound close to the Texas border and Amarillo...
Cross Roads Mall is now closed, a giant white elephant of the 90's big mall era.
We were lucky, the tornado passed one block north of where I live. My wife could hear the roar like a freight train and there is some debris in a school field behind my house. If that beast moved just a little noth it would have hit where I live. My wife survived the one in 99' in the same place we live.
