Here in the northeast we are making preparations for yet another HAARP test-fire, OOPS! I mean super hurricane that is promised to make last October look like a minor shower. Luckily we have plenty of Mountain House, canned, and MRE food to keep us going. I wish everyone luck who is in the path of this monster and hope we all come out ok.

Thanks housil! We should be ok as we are in western Massachusetts but folks on the coast are really gonna have to be well prepared. I'm not sure what kind of severe weather patterns occur in your neck of the woods, but I've read that Europe gets hit pretty hard with winter storms. I was talking with a buddy of mine and he mentioned that he'd love to have a job at the AT&T AUTOVON underground switching center near our town, the place is still somewhat active and very well protected, also 4 stories deep! He's figuring it would be a very safe place to go and ride this storm out, as he has friends who work there, but AT&T might not understand. I said, "gee, ya think?!" lol!

Not yet, but we have the earliest onset of winter since decades. Since two days subzero at night with some minor snowfall over here. We life in the wine yards and our neck of the woods actually isn´t famous for skiing
So let´s see how winter will hit us, some places over here allready got plenty of snow and traffic collapsed - but we are prepared with BMW X3 and snow tires w/ fuel heater

I would *love* to see some more of these days again over here

I hope you guys stay safe!
Here in the north of germany, it isn´t snowing.
It´s just very muddy and the streets are very slippery.
We had a couple of traffic accidents here in this area, but that´s "normal" for this time of the year.
The farmers try to get their corn from their fields.
But one good thing is that we here in our village didn´t have any serious accident or thing for our fire department(I´m in the junior fire brigade)in the whole year. :)

Thanks for replies Ration Fan and housil! We came thru the storm just fine, went to stay with some close friends and did not lose power thank God. My buddy who works for AT&T at the underground AUTOVON site called me this morning after he got relieved from his overnight shift and said "we played pool and watched movies all night, wish you were there!"

Sorry for any mis-understanding, I also have close friends who work at this AT&T site, and so does my buddy.
