This is something I really want to get my hands on. I can't believe how bright this flashlight is. This looked like something that everyone here would be interested in as it sure interests me!

Thats cool. Nice to see an upfront site run by someone who is creative and trying to make a go of things. Looks like the product has potential. Like the shape too 8)

XML is indeed the latest (widely available) LED going and this deal seems upfront and reasonably priced for what they are trying to accomplish from the ground up here in the states where start-up costs are obviously higher.

As we find this Cree LED put in different applications and available at vastly different prices around the world...a word of caution on two fronts:

Make certain that the host assembly is heat-sinked properly http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/sho ... e-drop-ins.

...and most importantly get up to speed on QUALITY PROTECTED Li-Ion (or just plain Lithium) batteries and their inherent dangers. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/sho ... le-dangers

These new lights aren't toys by any means...and the amps that some of them are now pushing require a second look at the entire package before proceeding.
