I hope our Japanese friends will be OK.

It looks like other countries will be hit by the wave too,

Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

New Zealand is still recovering from the earthquake that hit Christchurch last month...lets pray this does hurt them too

I and Kato are safe.
I and Kato are the friends of SNS.
I am thankful to you.

Tokyo was also a violent earthquake.
From the office, I walked for 5 hours and went home.
I was tired.
Rations were scattered into the room.

Glad to hear that laughing_man and Kato are safe. I've heard that China is even putting together an aid package, must be politically motivated but who knows for sure. Rumors are spreading on e-groups I'm with, talking about seismic weapons testing or HAARP "mishap" would not surprise me if some nation did something but how would it ever be proven?

Thank you very much!
The damage of Tokyo is small.

However, the damage of the Tohoku district is very serious.
All the SDF were ordered to perform mobilization.
The government asked the U.S. Forces Japan for relief.

I'm glad to read that both Kato and Laughing_man are ok. Thank God!!!
I saw that the devastation if enormous.
What surprised me are the whirpools and other "weird" formations caused by the earthquake......
So far the casualty count is low compared to Haiti. But the devastations is far bigger specially wit the nuclear reactors failing.

We the Japanese thank relief out of the world very much!!

Since two or more plant including a nuclear power plant suffered damage, Tokyo is electric power shortage.

The Matsushima air base sank completely by tsunami.
All the airplanes including F-2 fighter of 18 sank.
